It’s friday! And as I woke up stupidly early because of the heat, I can upload this before I have to go to work.
This is something Cypher requested for Fenders friday last week, so I had time to make it spiffy. It’s based on her own ficlet Any Bit of Trust and I randomly made it a dusky scene because look pretty colors!

cypheroftyr suggested Fenris in Grey Warden armor and I was gonna do something cute/funny but then I uh strayed kinda far away from that original idea.
varric, as a master of remixes and alternate timelines, definitely revisits the old tale of the champion and tries his own twist on the classic hero of Ferelden with an Antivan crow winding up in Kirkwall to assassinate a troublesome refugee and social climber, while a newly-joined grey warden stumbles across an escaped slave in need on the muddy Fereldan countryside… but even in that heavy armor, blues and silvers suiting him just fine, Fenris is always going to carry the weight of history on his shoulders, invisible next to the giant sword but ten times as heavy, isn’t he?
